Frequently Asked Questions

What is MinToday?

MinToday is a NITO solo mining pool.

How does the mining pool work?

In solo mining, the block reward goes to the address of the miner who finds it, after pool fees. It is not shared among all participants; regular income is not guaranteed.

Which currencies can be mined on MinToday?

NITO only.

Are there fees associated with using the mining pool?

The pool deducts 0.50 % from the block reward assigned to the miner. Network fees for sending from the wallet are separate and shown before confirmation.

When and how do I receive a reward?

SOLO mining requires finding a valid block. The net reward is assigned directly to your mining address in that block; there is no manual withdrawal from a pool account balance. Mining rewards must then mature.

How do I configure my miner?

No registration: server stratum+tcp://eu.minto.day:3333, username = your NITO receiving address, password x. Difficulty adjusts automatically. Use an address whose keys you control; the website wallet is optional.

Which hardware and software should I use?

Use a SHA-256 and Stratum compatible miner with software suited to its manufacturer. An application or high hashrate does not guarantee compatibility: check that the miner connects and submits accepted shares.

Can I mine with 1 TH/s or less?

Yes, with compatible hardware. Lower hashrate reduces your chance of finding a block and makes results more irregular. Shares do not provide regular income in SOLO; use the simulator to estimate the probability.

How do I view and remember my address?

Paste your public address into My Stats in the header. This browser remembers it; the small cross clears the field. Viewing statistics does not open the wallet or give access to funds.

Why does the hashrate differ from my machine?

The pool estimates hashrate from received shares. One-minute, hourly and multi-day averages differ, especially after starting or with a small miner. Machines using the same address are grouped together.

Does a share or difficulty record mean I found a block?

No. A share proves work to the pool; only a result meeting the network difficulty can form a valid block. Best Share and Best Ever are records, not progress towards the next block.

Are average yield and network share earnings already secured?

No. Hourly yield is a net expectation at constant difficulty. Network share compares your estimated hashrate with the network. Actual earnings come from found blocks and may remain zero despite a positive estimate.

How do I find older blocks and calendar totals?

Select a date on the address statistics page. Retained history can cover previous years. Days use UTC. Distinguish blocks attributed to the address on the blockchain from those identified as mined on Minto.

What does the leaderboard represent?

It compares addresses and blocks across the NITO blockchain, not just Minto participants. Use sorting, search and address details. Ranking gives no extra rewards or mining priority.

How do I use My miners?

Add up to 20 public NITO addresses with Add an address, or use Save address on a statistics page. Give each address a personal name to recognize it easily. Each card provides access to that address’s statistics, diagnosis, and alerts.

Does my list sync across devices?

No. Addresses and their names stay in this browser and are not synced. Clearing browser data or ending a private browsing session may erase the list. Removing an address does not affect funds, mining, or alerts you have already enabled.

How do I follow an address’s workers?

Save the address without a suffix, then open Diagnosis to view workers with recorded measurements. My Stats also accepts searches such as address.worker1. The diagnosis does not measure rejected shares or brief connection drops for each worker.

Why does the diagnosis show learning activity or a quiet period?

Learning activity means there are not enough measurements to establish a reliable reference. A quiet period means no recent share was received, which does not prove a fault: small miners may submit shares at long intervals.

What is the difference between an inactive miner and old measurements?

For an address, Inactive means no active connection has been observed for at least 10 minutes. Old or missing measurements prevent an assessment of its status. Active means no sustained decline is confirmed, not that the hardware is free of every possible issue.

What does Accepted work · average rate mean?

It estimates hashrate from the accumulated difficulty of accepted shares during observed periods within the last 24 hours. Missing periods are excluded, and the actual coverage is shown. This average may differ from the 5-minute hashrate and does not represent earned income.

How do drop alerts adapt to small miners?

A drop must exceed 40% of the reference rate and persist with enough reliable measurements. The window ranges from 15 minutes to 6 hours depending on share spacing, to avoid confusing a normal pause with a fault. Choose the alerts you want for each address using Alerts.

How often is the data updated?

Diagnostic measurements are collected about once a minute. Card numbers and statuses refresh every 30 seconds while the page is visible. The diagnosis shows the time of its measurement. Enabled alerts keep running on the server when you close the page.

Does the diagnosis replace my mining history?

No. Its measurements are retained for 48 hours, and its averages use observed periods within the last 24 hours. Older blocks and rewards remain available in the calendar. The diagnosis helps monitor activity; it does not guarantee blocks or income.

How do I create, reopen and back up my wallet?

Use Create a Wallet or email mode with the strong password generated on your device. Keep a secure backup of your private key and exact credentials. Email alone is insufficient, and support cannot reset the secret.

Why is the total not fully available?

Mined rewards wait for 100 confirmations; unconfirmed receipts wait for inclusion in a block. The wallet separates available, immature and pending amounts. Progress follows blocks: the time shown is an estimate, not a guaranteed deadline.

How do I use Max and understand a rejected payment?

Max calculates the available amount after fees and other recipients. Automatic fees follow the node’s indications. Read the summary and any error before confirming; immature or spent funds, or insufficient fees, can prevent sending.

How do I receive using my address or QR code?

Copy your NITO address below the QR code. The web QR opens the wallet with the recipient filled in, without sending funds. Scanning within the wallet needs an allowed camera; otherwise paste and check the address before sending.

What does the browser keep after closing the wallet?

The address book and hide-balances preference are stored locally in this browser, without syncing between devices. Reloading requires reopening the wallet. Clearing browser data may remove these preferences, not coins on the blockchain.

What is Broadcast a transaction for?

It sends an already signed transaction in hexadecimal format to the network. It is not a place to enter a private key. Check recipients, amounts and fees in the signing tool; support cannot cancel a valid broadcast.

What can I search for in the explorer?

A NITO address, block height, block hash or transaction ID. Links open the related details and arrows browse transaction pages. The cross in the search field lets you start again quickly.

Why does total received differ from the wallet balance?

Total received sums historical receipts, including change returned by some transactions. It is not the amount still spendable. The explorer shows indexed chain data; the wallet also accounts for pending spending and receipts, and maturity.

How should I interpret the simulator and formula?

Enter hashrate, unit and duration. The calculation uses current difficulty, height-based rewards and pool fees. Average earnings and waiting time are theoretical; probability is not a promise. Block transaction fees are excluded.

How do I download logs or a PDF report?

On the dashboard, enter the address and period, then view logs or start the ZIP/PDF export. The PDF follows the site language. It uses available archives: missing measurements do not prove that no mining occurred.

How do I enable alerts?

On your mining address statistics page, click the bell beside the address details. Choose the events and Email, Browser, or both, then click Save preferences. Confirm your email if requested and allow browser notifications if you choose that channel.

Which events can I follow?

Prolonged inactivity, a sustained hashrate drop, blocks found by this address on Minto and their rewards becoming mature. Mining recovery is also reported when you enable inactivity or hashrate drop alerts.

Can I follow several mining addresses?

Yes. Configure alerts on each address statistics page. Each address keeps its own settings and can use the same email. An email already confirmed in your current session can be reused without another confirmation. Messages identify the address concerned.

Can other visitors see my email or settings?

No. Visiting the public statistics page does not reveal your email or alert settings. Access to your settings is tied to your private browser session.

What happens if my IP changes or I use another browser?

Changing IP does not disable alerts. Access to settings uses your browser session, not your IP. Using another browser or deleting cookies may require a new email confirmation to manage alerts; existing alerts remain active.

Do I need to leave Minto.day open?

No for email. Browser push notifications can also arrive with the tab closed, depending on browser support, permissions and device settings. An offline device or blocked notifications can delay or prevent delivery.

Does disabling alerts stop both email and browser notifications?

Yes. Disable alerts stops both channels for your subscription to the displayed address. Your other addresses are unaffected. To stop only one channel, uncheck Email or Browser, then click Save preferences.

Why am I not receiving alerts?

Check that your email is confirmed, the event and channel are selected, and the event has occurred. Check your spam folder and your browser and device notification permissions. Delivery may take a little time; alerts are not an instantaneous monitoring service.

What does Too many requests mean?

Anti-spam protection limits repeated requests. If a waiting time is shown, let it expire before trying again. One click on Save preferences is enough; repeated saves of unchanged settings do not send extra confirmation emails.

Do alerts need access to my wallet?

No. They use your public mining address and the delivery channels you choose. No private key or wallet password is required. Enabling alerts does not grant access to your funds.

How does MinToday protect my information?

Web browsing uses HTTPS. Address statistics are public. Wallet private keys and transaction signing stay in your browser: never share your secrets with support.

What measures are in place against attacks?

The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to limit automated submissions. These measures cannot guarantee that no incident will occur.

How can I contact support?

Use the Contact page. Include your public address, affected page, time and error message. A screenshot can help; hide your secrets. Allowed attachments are PDF, JPG, PNG, WebP and TXT, up to 5 MB.

What should I do if I have connection issues with the pool?

Check the server and port on Get Started, your NITO address, internet connection and accepted shares on your miner. Allow averages to settle. If the issue continues, contact support with the miner model and exact error.
